CONTROL OPTIONS – GROUP 75
WHAT IS A CONTROL OPTION?
CONTROL OPTION
Group 75 Beck drives have a model number 75-100. Each drive has the capability to be equipped with different electronics combinations, which are called control options. The control option number will replace the last zero in the model number when specifying a drive model and control option. For example, a model 75-100 drive that is setup to use the control option 9 electronics would be considered a model 75-109 drive. A basic description for each control option is provided below. For details on the electronics components, please visit the Group 11 Electronics section.
OPTION
Digital Position Control with Potentiometer Position Sensing
The Beck DCM positions the drive in proportion to an input current or voltage signal, and the Film Potentiometer provides integral feedback for the DCM. A 4–20 mA position feedback signal is available for remote indication. Foundation Fieldbus is also available.
The DCM may be used to provide pre-determined positioning of the drive upon loss of input control signal.
OPTION
Direct AC Control with Contactless Position Sensor
Customer must supply three wires to directly control the drive motor direction: One 120 V ac line to run CW (terminal 12), one 120 V ac line to run CCW (terminal 16), and one neutral (terminal 2). Customer must supply two additional wires to power the “2-wire” type CPS (see your specific wiring diagram or the typical wiring diagram below).
OPTION
Direct AC Control with Potentiometer Position Sensing
Customer must supply three wires to directly control the drive motor direction: One 120 V ac line to run CW (terminal 12), one 120 V ac line to run CCW (terminal 16), and one neutral (terminal 2). The position feedback potentiometer connections are available at terminals 32 (CW), 33 (wiper), and 34 (CCW).
